Under the term tabulation of functions in Mathcad we understand the procedure of calculating discrete value of function in case the argument is under change in accordance with the arithmetic sequence law. It is important that the function is continuous on the quantum of tabulation. The results of tabulation in Mathcad are shown in tabular format. While the procedure of tabulation it is necessary to identify the value of the discrete argument, for that reason it is important to assign the discrete argument identifier and define its range of values. One of the ways of assigning the values of the discrete argument is specifying the counter of the values of the discrete argument or else ranked variable in Mathcad. Argument change is assigned the following way:
x:=initial value[,initial value+stride]..finite value
Brackets contain the optional parameter, if it is not known, the default stride equals to

In some cases Mathcad makes it possible to assign the values of the discrete argument directly, which means there is no need in specifying the counter of the values of the discrete argument. Function value is generated for every single value of the discrete argument. The example of tabulation of function is shown in the programme listing.
