In order to expand function **f(x)** into Taylor series Mathcad offers the operator series of the toolbar “**Symbols**”. The operator looks the following way **? series, ?, ?** . The very left entry field is for entering the function. The middle entry field should contain the name of the variable, which makes the basis of the function expansion into Taylor series, or the expression of the following kind: “**x = a**”, where **х** – х is the variable identifier, **а** – is the point in which expansion is carried out. If а is not given, its default value in Mathcad equals to 0. A coefficient, which defines degree of Taylor multinomial, is entered in the ultimate left entry field. The examples of expansion of functions into Taylor series is shown in the programme listing.
